Protected Areas

  • Nature Reserves

    • There are currently 13 nature reserves within the Bermuda Government Park system.

  • Ramsar Sites

    • Bermuda has 7 sites designated as wetlands of international importance or 'Ramsar sites'.

  • The Nonsuch Island Living Museum

    • Part of the Castle Harbour Nature Reserve, Nonsuch Island is the most important site in Bermuda for the conservation of rare and threatened species and habitats.

 

Spittal Pond Nature Reserve is also a Ramsar Site
