Bermuda's Endemic Species
Endemic species are unique; they are found nowhere else in the world but in Bermuda. Endemic species arrived in Bermuda as native species, but once they were here they adapted to Bermuda's environment. Over time they evolved into a genetically unique species. If an endemic species is totally destroyed in Bermuda it is said to be globally extinct and can not be brought back. Extinction marks the end of a species forever.
